Help, I'm desperate - my 5 month old won't sleep alone?

My son is five months old and has never slept in his crib. He will ONLY sleep if someone is holding him, he's next to me in bed, or he's in his stroller. How do I get him to sleep in a crib?

Honestly, I'm 30 and I don't want to sleep by myself, so how can I expect my BABY to? Our son is 18 months and still spends most nights in our bed. It's normal for mammals to want to sleep together. Some babies sleep well alone and some don't. Some babies are good sleepers and some aren't. Our son has NEVER been a good sleeper and we've found that bed sharing is what gets everyone the most amount of sleep. We've tried EVERYTHING and our son just isn't a good sleeper. I have no shame in letting our son sleep with us as long as it gets everyone sleep.

I had to let my son cry it out as well. It wasn't my preference but every other gentler method failed miserably with him. He's 5.5 months and doing so much better with nighttime sleep now 😅

I had to let my son cry it out in the end. He was co sleeping till over 1. He finally slept in his own bed after that but now he is back with us
