Any ER nurses or just nurses in general? I need advice on what to do please!

Not sure when a good time to go to either urgent care or the ER is. I have been majorly constipated for 9 days now. Only pooped 3 times. All 3 times I was at the point of yelling. Yesterday, I felt horrible, today I woke up very dizzy, shaky, and very nauseous. I also keep having bad stomach pains. My doctor is closed until Monday. 
Should I try to wait it out until then and just rest or should I go to the ER?

take a stool softener or a suppository

You ladies all need to drink more water!!! Even if you tried a suppository, I’d try another. If it’s really dry and impacted, it may need a second one.

half oj half prune juice warmed to tea temp and add Metamucil. works like a charm.

I drink a minimum of 8 glasses... it’s the iron on the prenatal pills that are more likely to be the culprit. 😊

I’m having the same problem. Hard stools. I’m thinking about picking up some Miralax.

I was told to take colace even on my last high risk pregnancy.

Have you tried any stool softeners? Colace, Senna, Milk of magnesia, Miralax?

What is done at the ER, you can do at home yourself. Drink lots of orange juice and water, pick up miralax, and I would definitely get an enema. Because you’ve been having bowel movements, there isn’t much they can do. It just sounds like you need your stool softened
