if so, what was it like missing it?

Nothing happens if you miss one. No cramps or bleeding etc. if you completely stop taking them all together mid-cycle then your period could come earlier. 
Just jump back on it when you remember (later that day or the next morning)

Got pregnant when I missed two over the weekend.

Literally nothing. I just took it the next day when I remembered. If I skip 2 pills though I get spotting
