Maybe because your finger is easier to lubricate and a tampon isn’t because it’s cotton i believe. (i don’t use tampons unless i’m playing sports so idk)

i’ve had this problem (but i’ve overcome it), it’s probably because when you’re putting a tampon in you’re not as aroused as you are when masterbating so you’re not as wet down there atm, ik this sounds weird but when you’re to dry down there to put a tampon in try pushing it in while doing little circle motions with the tampon that way it’ll create more moisture so it’s easier. (thats what i’ve learned works for me)
