Cervial checks? How often?

Does your doctor check you weekly at a certain point? 
Or some other pattern? 
You’d think I’d remember this part of pregnancy but I guess this is the stuff that gets blocked out of the mind when you’re 15 days from your due date and miserable AF.

My Dr offered at 36 weeks and I declined because I hadn't felt the need to have it done yet.

My obgyn doesn’t check unless you ask. I was never checked with my first and I’ll be 39 weeks Wednesday and I haven’t been checked

Mine doesn’t until 39 weeks, which is this week for me so I’ll be getting one in a few days!

Mine doesn’t do them until 40 weeks unless I request one or if I was having a lot of contractions. They try to have as little invasion as possible as it’s not necessarily until your due date.

I started being checked at 34 weeks, because I was having a lot of contractions due to kidney stones and being in pain. I got to a 3 by 36 weeks and I’m still at a 3 at 39 weeks. 🙄

I was offered starting at 36 weeks but I’ve been declining them. I didn’t feel like I was close so I didn’t see the point of rummaging in there. I’ll have the first one at 40 weeks (if I make it to my due date this week), but that’s only because I asked them to do a membrane sweep this week if I haven’t started labor yet.

I had a check at 34 weeks because of my contractions that I’ve had since the mid point of my 2nd trimester to now but since I was not dilated my doctor didn’t want to check me again so I wouldn’t have discomfort. She’s checking me Tuesday as little man was super low at 34 check and I’ve been in some real pain with my contractions lately.

I was first checked at 36 week appointment after my group b strep test. It was optional but since i had been experiencing contractions i decided to have it done. My doctor has checked at each appointment since then just to see if I’m progressing since I’m still experiencing contractions and pain.

My Dr is checking me for the first time tomorrow at 38+3, I thought that was really late to start but then again,  my Dr is an idiot.
