What is a single mom in your opinion?

Some people say that if your child’s father is in their life in any type of way, that you’re not a single mother. Do you agree or disagree? And what do you think being a single mom means? Just curious 😊

I think it just means when your a mom.. and single 😂

My dad paid child support because he was forced to, and we saw him like 4 times a year. I’d say I was raised by a single mom. My mom did everything and attended every school event and every game that she could. My dad never once saw me play softball or my brother play football.

To me it means you're not in a relationship with someone who helps with coparenting. Yes it's definitely more difficult if the child's father is not involved vs if he is and there's a good partnership but you're no longer together. ....but in both cases I'd still consider her a single mom until say she's living with or married to someone else who helps her with the kids in her home on a regular basis.
