Did the 140 & below for a boy and 160& above for a girl stand true for you?

I’m 8 weeks and 3 days and had my first appointment today. Our baby’s HR was 169 and I’m curious to know if the higher HR for a female is usually true.

my baby's heartbeat was always 175-178, which would mean girl, but we're having a boy 💙 so it was not true for me.

Mine was right HOWEVER, low heart rates run in my family. Mine for instance is roughly 50bpm, while my sons has been 125-148 so far (29weeks on Tuesday). That being said ANYTHING can affect your baby’s heart rate. Such as the time of day, traffic, what you ate or drank, being anxious or nervous, being excited, road rage, smelling a strong odor, etc. it all plays a role into it.
