black blood???

my friend is on birth control and she has been on her period for a while, it’ll last a whole week and then stop for 4-11 days and then come back again, but it’s black?? she’s worried and she doesn’t know what to do

That sounds pretty normal when you start birth control. Talk to a doctor to double check but I think she's fine. Birth control makes most people bleed like crazy. and more blood=darker color.
