So tonight I go downstairs to get water my mom says to me “hey you should throw away your period wrappers away in the kitchen garbage instead of the bathroom because your not being discreet with the wrappings.” I was like “oh I’m sorry did I leave them out? I thought I wrapped it in tissue paper before throwing it out.” she said that I did but she could still see the wrapper and that I needed to bury it in the trash because there is guys in the house. First of all, men aren’t oblivious to periods, and second I am being discreet and hygenic properly throwing them away wrapped in tissue, just because you can see the purple wrapper through the tissue doesn’t mean it’s a big deal. I think it is way more obvious to the boys if I walk out with a bloody pad in my hand and stick my hand way down into the kitchen garbage.
