Should prank calls be illegal?

Do you think that harmless prank calls should be illegal? 
Harassing prank calls are but there is a thin line when it comes to the laws. Most prank calls are not deemed as illegal.

I think law enforcement has bigger issues than prank calls...after they’ve fixed all of those they can think about prosecuting teenagers thinking they’re funny.

My mom told that when she was young the big thing was for kids to call and ask “is your refrigerator running” & you would say yes and then the caller would say “well you better go catch it, ha ha” and hang up. 
& kids would call the grocery store and ask “do you have king author in a can?” (It was a brand of tuna, I think) & the employee would say yes and then the kid would say ”well you better let him out, ha ha” and hang up. 
So if it’s something harmless like that then no but if it’s more serious than I think it should be illegal.

If you prank call the police or first responders or whatever, then yes that should be illegal. But harmless prank calls to Wal-Mart? No.

Swatting calls are what I think should be illegal (if they aren't already). If someone makes a prank call that brings harm to others then yes they should definitely be charged at least.

Maybe a bylaw or something? Giving a fine for prank calling businesses seems kinda fair to me.
Those “calling in sick” pranks make my insides cringe. I cant imagine the stress it causes businesses. 
Or fake orders. People should be forced to cover the cost of wasted stuff.

My cousin and I were convinced by our older brothers to prank call people. We were like 6 or 7 and the number she dialed was 911 and the police showed up at her house and talked to us. 
But no harmless prank calls are annoying not something to be punished legally for.

Pranks to a takeaways should be illegal! Kids go around prank calling takeaways ordering large amount of food and then never showing up to collect it or give wrong address... it happens quite often here in UK and it’s just totally stupid, they don’t understand they’re harming the business and the workers, wasting food and money 😒😒😒

Depends. If it's a prank call to an emergency number or emergency hotline then yes because it can cause unnecessary panic and distress but let's be honest when we were young kids we all made at least one prank phone call. Yes they can be annoying but is it really hard to block that number, why make it illegal and possible ruin a child's future based on a harmless prank.
