Any of you ladies still nursing?

My son is 13 months going on 14 and still nursing. My mother thinks it's time to stop but I know he's my last and want to continue a little longer. I'm so proud. I didn't get to nurse my first born this long because she weaned herself at 11-12 months.

I wouldn't stop unless your BABY wants to. Forget others opinions, it's incredible for your health and your child's, that is all that matters. Ever since I found out it decreases your chance of developing breast cancer by like 25-30% to continue nursing after one year, I'm all about it. And of course it's incredible for your growing toddler.

I tried to stop at 12 because I was ready, but she wanted to keep nursing until almost 14 months so we kept going until then. Do whatever is right for you and your baby :)

14 months and going strong over here. He'll wean when he's ready. He's a boobie monster so I don't think it's ending any time soon. My dad told me today 2 is too old and when was I stopping... WHO recommends to at least 2, so... tell your mom that :P

Our lo is 15 months and she’s still nursing. My goal was a year and will continue until she’s 18 months, unless she self weans before then.

Pediatrician recommended at least 6 months but best 2 years. Sadly my milk supply ended at 10 months, tried everything but I had nipple eczema and couldn’t get milk supply back. Congratulations to all moms that still breastfeeding.

I stopped nursing when my daughter was 12 months but I have to say if you are both enjoying nursing there’s absolutely no reason to stop right now. A lot of people nurse past a year.

Go as long as you feel comfortable! I wasn't able to nurse my milk barely came in and it was such a stressful time for me so I only nursed 3 weeks then pumped for another week. The last time I pumped I only got 1 drop after 20 minutes. I was so devastated I quit and i feel horrible. Don't let anyone make you feel guilty.
