Question

What would you do if you had sex and then two days later (I usually take my pill at night) forgot, and didn’t take the pill till the morning? Just looking for some advice. I’ve taken plan b in the past but I hate taking extra medication.

technically semen can survive in the uterus for 5 days. which means that you want to be especially careful about your birth control for 5 days after you have sex. if you forget just one pill, it's possible (though unlikely) that you could ovulate (i.e. an egg could be released from your ovaries and implant in  your uterus) and the semen that are in your uterus could impregnate that egg. this is assuming you didn't use a condom, obviously. if you did use one, there shouldn't be any semen in your uterus to begin with (though condoms aren't 100% effective). probably you should just take two pills the day after you missed one, but read the directions on your birth control first. mine says that if I miss one pill today, I should take two tomorrow. hope this helped!
