Measuring right on track despite my BMI
Has anyone else had to do extra tests & scans just because they had a higher BMI before pregnancy? I had a scan today because the hospital considers my BMI a ‘risk factor’. Of course my baby is measuring perfectly for 34 weeks & I haven’t gained much weight at all. I’m tall & muscular, but admittedly overweight.
I feel really judged having to do all these extra tests....
I lost weight in preparation for pregnancy & eat very well. I’ve spoken to women of a similar size to me who never had these experiences. I’m totally capable of growing & birthing my baby.
