Any suggestions???

I’ve gotten off birth control last November and since then my periods have been about 5 days long. But for this period it’s been different. I sort of spotted on day one (which never happens. Whenever i get my period it’s like hey I’m here and my underwear normally gets ruined) and then a little bit of heavy bleeding on days 3 and 4 and now it’s light bleeding but I’m only really bleeding in the morning and then it stops. Like it barely fills up a regular tampon. Is that normal? Has anyone had a similar experience? I’m going on day 8 now and I’ve never had a period go on this long before.

Another thing to add is that in the morning it’s red blood but once i put a tampon in and then take it out like 4 or 5 hours later it’s brown. My boobs have also been a little sore and i still have cramping.

Sometimes when you go off a hormone medicine, your body can take a while to adjust. But if your period has been normal for a while and it’s just now fluctuating, I’d see an ONGYN. 
This happened to me. I went off the pill and my periods were all over the place as well as my emotions. I went to my ONGYN and she said my thyroid medication was off. She adjusted it, and it’s been normal ever since.
It could be your body adjusting, or maybe you have a condition not related to your period at all that could be affecting it. Worth a doctor visit, though.
