So I noticed this callus like thing on his paw a while ago and I've done some research on what it could be but mostly everything I find says that it's normal for his breed and goes away on its own. I've been keeping an eye on it because I've never seen it on a dog before, and I wanted to make sure it was getting better not worse.

Well my dogs been licking his foot a lot the past few days. I didn't think anything of it until just now he was laying on the bed and when he licks his foot he gets wet spots all over so i was like "stop doing that🙄" and then I realized he was licking his foot so i went to see which foot it was and it's the foot that has that weird callus on it. His toe looks very swollen and irritated. I'm worried about my baby. Tomorrow Sunday so the vet he sees is closed, and I wouldn't be able to take him until Tuesday (my day off)

Has anyone had this happen to their dog? What was it?
