Baby still not sleeping?

My baby is EBF, she started sleeping through the night at like 5 weeks. Starting at 4.5 months she WILL NOT SLEEP. Seriously she wakes up every hour to hour an a half, sometimes every thirty minutes . Rarely do we get stretches over two hours. I’m getting desperate but don’t believe in CIO. Any advice? She’ll be 6 months Tuesday.

I was against any form of crying from the start but then my baby was waking every 30-45 alllllllll night long. At first I thought it was a phase. Then I thought teeth. Then after two solid weeks I couldn’t even think. I was obsessed with sleep and when I would get to sleep next and I felt at my wits end. Started researching (I have been following a routine. We warm her bed. She had a sound machine..and so on) long story short——I read the book written by Ferber and we are in the midst of helping her sleep better. It’s worked wonders. Yes I cried a couple times. Yes it’s been a hard. And YES it is working 😊 I held a lot of guilt at first but this mama sees the light at the end of the tunnel.

Just give it time! I’ve got a good night sleeper (10 hours straight) but a terrible day sleeper. I’m lucky to get 2 hours from her through the day. BUT I can’t recommend a routine highly enough. I started from about 5 weeks when we transitioned to her own room and into the cot. Bed time has always been 7:00pm. If she wakes up, the first time I try to re-settle, second time I’ll feed if she wakes up again. She usually doesn’t wake until 5am - 6am and I think having the set bedtime routine has allowed her to know that it’s bed time and to sleep! Haha
But also, some people say that introducing solids can help if you haven’t already 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don’t know because we introduced at 4 months because she was super keen. My little girl is 6 months and she gets 3 little meals a day to try help with her reflux.

At six months old we upped our daughter's baby food intake to three meals a day. After the second day of cereal and veggies (1-2 oz at each meal) she sleeps 8 hours consistently. if I didn't have to get up and pump I'd be in heaven. She does still wake at night off and on, but mostly just whines a bit changes position then goes back to sleep. Sometimes she needs to be soothed back to sleep, but its getting better after just a couple weeks of more solid foods.
Our doctor really wanted us to get this so that when her teeth came in (very soon), she wouldn't be eating at night and accumulating bacteria on those new baby teeth.

my son its now 6 months old he is sleeping for the most part throughout the night sometimes hes up at 6am for a feeding and some days hes sleeps untill 8am hes usually asleep by 8.30pm. when he was 2 months old i read the book 12 hrs in 12 weeks which gave me great tips on how to get him to sleep better i didn't follow everything 100% but i was a big help. good luck mama just know u are doing great🖒

I would think she could reach 3-4 hours at this point. What does the doc say?

I’ve been in the same boat with my boy. He’s 6m now and for the past week it’s been every hour and will only sleep if I feed him. Last night I was lucky enough to wake up for one feed! My boobs weren’t so lucky though as you can imagine. Bare with it. My boy is on solids too
