I had my first yeast infection back in the early summer and ended up having a recurring one because I was treating it wrong (walk in clinic doc told me to take diflucan). After about 2 months of back and forth with it I finally got into my doctor and he said that pill is a 50/50 chance of getting rid of it and to do the 5 day canestan cream insert.

So after the 5 day I was back to normal and hadn’t had one until this last week, 6 months later. So I did the treatment only for 4 days because I thought it was a mild one and i felt 100%. So two days after I finished the treatment I had sex with my boyfriend and now I’m pretty sure it’s coming back again..... I should have waited a little longer to give myself time to heal so I think I irritated my vagina :((

Should I do an entire 5 day course like my doc prescribed last time?
