Baby is kneeling...is she close to walking?

Hi, my 10 month old has been doing both types of kneels lately and i was wondering if anyone else noticed their babies doing this right before they started walking? She can stand without support for a few seconds now, but needs to pull herself up on furniture and let go. Just wondering if those first steps are close based on others experience. Thanks!

It wasn’t the case for us. When my daughter could stand up in the middle of the living room without pulling up on anything, that meant she was close to walking. It was about 3 weeks after standing up unassisted and then she took her first steps.

Our daughter was kneeling at around 7 months or so and started walking at 10 months. I never felt that kneeling was a sign of walking at all. And I've never heard of them being connected either. Our daughter was crawling at 6 months and then pulling to stand and standing unassisted at 7 months. By 8 months she  could stand herself up in the middle of the room without grabbing onto anything. And then she was walking the day she turned 10 months. That's our little timeline lol

My girl has been doing the same .. she can stand pretty well on her own with no support, still needs to pull herself to stand and will take some independent steps here and there but no full blown walking yet.
