Is using birth control ok if your prolife?

I’d presume birth control means something a person ‘positively’ does to sterilize the conjugal act. So this excludes Natural Family Planning.
I guess it also depends on how deep your prolife philosophy is. Some are prolife because of the horrors of abortion but If you’ve gone to the point of understanding where being prolife is about being open to life, and birth control is not being open to life, then we have a contradiction.

The answer to this depends on what drives you to be prolife. 
Option 1: You are prolife because you put God in charge of your reproductive system. Then birth control is NOT okay, because it is blocking Gods will. Your best bet is abstinence until intentional conception.
Option 2: You are prolife because you think abortion is murder. Then I think youd want birth control for everyone because preventing pregnancy is less harmful than murder.
OPTION 3: You are prolife because you want to restrict women's rights to their bodies and want to shame women for having sex before intentional conception. In this case, you would be AGAINST birth control, and force women to control their bodies through abstinence or pay the price!!! 
OPTION 4: You are prolife because babies are cute. In this case, just have a baby! What do you need birth control for?

I went through a time where I was rethinking the pill because I learned the science of how it prevents pregnancy. I didn't like that a fertilized egg could still happen but the pill would make my uterus "inhospitable". Ultimately I remained on the pill but I was seriously considering options that didn't have hormones. Personally I'm at peace with birth control that takes place before you know you're pregnant, but I wouldn't use Plan B or any other abortion pill myself.

If it's possible that a fertilized egg is created and prevented from being nourished then I'd say it's wrong. I believe that life begins at conception.  However if the birth control keeps the sperm from getting there (condom) or keeps the egg from being released in the first place then it's fine.

Although I was taught otherwise growing up I’ve seen several women that really do need something for one reason or another. Even though my religion is against it they are even starting to lift some of these “rules” recently. For me birth control isn’t about not having kids it’s about controlling hormones

I’m very pro-life but on the bill. I use the pill to control my hormones and period in addition to preventing pregnancy. For me as long as you’re not killing something after conception it’s not wrong. I would never use plan b or an abortion pill but I believe using birth control it fine because you’re preventing the pregnancy from happening. 
Additionally, people saying you should wait to have sex until you’re ready for a child is a bit far and kind of dumb for two reasons 1) although having children is a purpose for sex it isn’t the only purpose. Sex can also bring a couple together intimately and is just pleasurable. 2) if you are against premarital sex, some married couples may not be ready to have a child yet or not want one at all. Saying the married couples should abstain from sex is a bit much because sex is an important part of marriage and any form of birth control (the pill and condoms included) allow married couples who don’t want kids to enjoy their sexual relationship without worrying about an unwanted pregnancy.
