Sore nipples/breasts

So since my husband and I have started TTC I have been experiencing tender/sore/swollen breasts about a week before I get my period. We have been trying since Aug 2017. This month I’m so sick, my body aches, and my breasts/nipples are so stinking sore. I’m not sure if I am getting sick or what. Could the sore breasts/nipple just be a way of my body trying to prepare itself to become pregnant? This is miserable!
