Would you let your SO be in the room with you for your GYNO appointment?

I just saw a post about a woman with IUD issues and she said her bf was in the room watching the doctor do his/her thing...

I don't see what anyone would gain from him being in the room. Unless I'm pregnant or something, I can go to the doctor all by myself

My husband has seen me push a baby out of my vagina, literally seen my stomach cut open during my c section of our twins and put his fingers up my vagina cause I thought I forgot a tampon. So why the hell not haha. He's seen everything, 🤷🏼‍♀️

I think that’s weird. Why would they want to be there? It’s just a doctor’s visit. If I want emotional support for something (which I did when I had my implant finally taken out properly after a previous failed attempt after which I walked home crying) then they can be in the waiting room (which is exactly where I left him when I went back). Nothing to be gained by an SO being physically present.

i wouldnt waste his time for a regular appt but if he wanted to come or was worried about me, why not. or if I'm not feeling well and he wants to provide support, then i dont see why not.

I mean, sure. He's obviously seen my vagina and I don't hide any medical history from him. There's really no reason why I would say no if he wanted to come.
