Ear drops making face go numb???

Question

So I have a really bad outer ear infection. (AKA: Swimmers ear.) 
My doctor prescribed me these ear drops to take. Today was my first day taking them. I took the fight about, but that ear is numb and so it that side of my face :( 
Is this normal? I've never had an ear infection before so idk

in my experience of ear drops for both middle and outter ear infections it's never happened to me. I mean it relieved the pain, but it did not numb my face. maybe call the doctor and just see what they have to say?
