Postpartum surgery

Just a question for moms who have had surgery shortly after giving birth... on Friday I’m scheduled to have my gallbladder removed & my almost four month old is exclusively breastfed. She’s refused the bottle completely but will reluctantly drink from a cup. I’ve already talked with the anesthesiologist & he said that their most conservative view is waiting 24 hours to nurse. But that I could pretty well nurse as soon as I’m able to hold her basically. Now my question is... did anyone bring their baby to the hospital beforehand? My surgery is scheduled for 9:45, I have to be there for 7:45. The hospital has left it up to me whether I want her there or not. But has said hospital isn’t the best place for a baby, with all the germs. I was hoping to bring her and feed her up until I leave for surgery. But now I’m not sure. I don’t want to risk her health by having her there. Any thoughts or opinions on this..?
