C-sec advice or story?

Question

I am a petite person and my doctor was worried about my baby not fitting. I had an ultrasound today and the estimate is 10lbs 11oz. I am devastated. I feel like I am being stripped of my dream of a natural birth. If anyone has any advice or past experience stories I would love to hear them!! 
Scheduled c-section for Friday.

I’ve had 4 csections. Just had my 4th a few days ago. Best advice I can give is to get moving ASAP no matter the pain. It actually helps the more you walk around and makes the pain lessen. You’ll notice when you’ve been in bed a few hours and get up, it’s like the beginning pain all over again, by a couple of minutes on your feet and it will start to subside.

I had a c section after failure to progress during induction. it's truly not as scary as it sounds. I didn't feel anything besides pulling...which is a very weird sensation when you're completely numb...unpleasant but not painful at all! Since mine was not an emergency,  I was awake through the whole thing and my husband was with me to hold my hand through it all. I'd say the biggest thing I didn't expect was the shaking...they say it's normal and just all the adrenaline running through your body. I was shaking uncontrollably the whole time until she was in my arms but I wasn't cold. Also, I was ignorant and kinda thought there would be less bleeding than a vaginal delivery since, you know, less trauma to the lady parts. this was my first so I have nothing to compare it to but I'm 2 weeks pp and still wearing pads. the bleeding has gone down considerably but you don't get to skip that part of recovery if you have a c section, unfortunately. But the good things were, I saw my baby immediately after she was born for a second. then my husband got to go be with her while they cleaned her up and took her vitals. it was probably only 5-10 minutes after delivery that I got to hold her which is not long at all. my Dr and anesthesiologist were fantastic and explained everything to me, made sure I was comfortable constantly, and even let me pick what Pandora station I wanted playing through the surgery. Recovery is not fun but you do get to stay a little longer in the hospital and have nurses and doctors to help you out in those first couple days. Good luck mama! you'll do great!

I just had my cesarean yesterday. It went beautiful and I have such an amazing team of doctors. Recovery can be a bit painful but the quickest you’re on your feet, the better. I’d honestly say the hardest part is pooping afterwards... lol
