Stomach swollen and painful 4 weeks after miscarriage

Hi Ladies,

I now lost my little man 4 weeks ago, I would’ve been 11.5 weeks. I was booked in for D&C; but miscarried on my own, at hospital. The midwife that was with me told me that I had passed all of the pregnancy tissue and let me home after my husband arrived to collect me. The first few days afterward, the pain was unbelievable! I have already given birth to a healthy baby boy last year, and I cannot remember afterpains being anything like this. I bled for aroind 2 weeks so am now just waiting for AF. My first question is, how long did it take for your period to return? And was your stomach swollen and sore to touch after MC? I weighed myself today and have lost around 7lb in the past few weeks but my tummy looks like it did when I was 6 months pregnant with DS1. This is my first MC so I’m completely lost.
