From in-home daycare to childcare center

Has anyone switched from an in-home daycare to a childcare/learning center? Our son has been in an in-home daycare since he was 8 weeks old and is turning 2 in a couple of weeks. We have had a decent experience with the in-home daycare, with a few hiccups along the way, but she has changed her hours where we have to have him picked up by 4:30. We can make it work if we have to, but it really cuts into my workday (self-employed) and my husband’s schedule varies. It’s more expensive to go to a center, but they have a curriculum and extended hours. Curious what others’ experiences have been.
