How do you know if baby is breech??

Question: 
How do they find out if baby is breech if they don’t do another ultrasound?? 
I don’t have another one scheduled... 
and I just keep having standard 4 week then two week appts till birth.
Is there a different way to tell?? Will they know before I show up to give birth?

My doctor can put her hands on my belly and tell the position of the baby

As a FTM I had no idea! They don’t seem to concerned with figuring out the baby’s position at the moment, but I imagine they will closer to my due date.

my midwives have always been very good at detecting position by feeling on the outside

The midwives could tell what position my son was in when they felt my belly. Idk how but they would always feel my belly and go ‘there’s his butt’ and reassure me his head was still down. I’m not sure if there’s other ways to tell but they made it seem easy to tell

My daughter was breech my last pregnancy & he could tell when he checked my cervix at 34 weeks. He did an ultrasound and she was.

They can also tell by where they find the heart beat. If it’s low the head is down and if it’s high the head is up.

My doctor feels my belly at each appointment & lately has been telling me what position baby is currently in from that
