so my boyfriend and i just got a house. i’m a stay at home mom to my son and he has a daughter that is watched by his mom during the day. my distant family has family reunions every 3 years. i’ve been asking him to go and begging him to and e says since we just got a house ya not the best time (which i disagree bc we totally have the money) my mom already paid for a room for us, she said she’ll provide the food too. but he said no bc we would have to pay for gas and he would be losing 1000$ from not working for a week. so i told my family and they said they will pay for us for EVERYTHING. even gas! but he still doesn’t want to stop working for a week and not make that 1000$ so...... do i just go with my son? or do i stay home and not go? he said i’m being selfish by wanting to go... but it’s my family and they’ve never met my son yet. advice?
