I say it depends on the person, and maybe the manner of proposal. Because as an introvert who likes to kinda think through everything I definitely wouldn't have wanted a public surprise proposal. (Thankfully my now husband didn't do that to me.) It can be really stressful to be put on the spot for a huge life impacting decision like that.

I say exact time, no, that's the fun part! but both people should be on the same page and if one person has a timelinez that should be discussed so there is no resentment on either side

Yes. A mature adult couple should discuss future plans, desires, etc. Especially marriage!!  A marriage proposal should not ‘come out of nowhere.’

I say yes just so he/she knows the ring size to pick for their SO.
I also say no, just so it’ll be more of a surprise.

I think it depends on the people, place, etc. but also.... I think most women know, to be honest. I feel like they at least have an idea that they’re at that stage, and their partner is comfortable with it
