Magnesium question.?!?!

Is too much magnesium bad? My OB gave me a script today for 400 mg to take 2x a day.
(Due to my headache I had for 5 days)
But today I woke up with no headache. 
Idk if I should take both pills as it says or just take one..
I’m sure my headaches are from my sinus’s tho. Idk🤷🏽‍♀️

I take 400mg every night to sleep better along with colace to 💩... doctor says it's fine

IV magnesium can be toxic if you’re not pushing enough out through your urine. But oral magnesium is metabolized different and 800 mg a day is safe. Magnesium is actually really good for your baby, it protects their neurons, the IV mag can just be hard on momma’s body but shouldn’t harm baby at all. I had IV mag for 48 hours and had to have blood work done to check my levels. I’ve been on 800 mg of oral magnesium daily since then.

The only side effect from taking too much is diarrhea. I take 460 mg a day for constipation. You’re ok!

Take whatever your doctor told you too. We don’t know how low your levels are or how long you’re supposed to take it. Ask your doctor
