When to tell Parents and In-Laws

Question

Hey everyone! I found out I'm pregnant just two days ago, and now hubby and I are debating on when to tell our parents. The catch is that today is my mom's birthday and I figured this is the best gift that I can give her, but I've only just made 4 weeks today, and don't know if that's too early to announce. If I do tell her today, I'd like to tell Hubby's parents next Friday when we see them, but if I don't I figured we could wait until maybe Mother's Day? What do you guys think? When did you/will you tell your parents?

It’s totally up to you. I found out I was pregnant just before Christmas and we made a big deal about telling our parents as a “gift” unfortunately I had a MMC at 10 weeks. So I wouldn’t have taken back telling them that early, I just kind of wish we wouldn’t have made such a big deal of it.

I tell my mom right after my hubby! She is call #2!!!! 
And I’ve lost babies before and she was also call #2! 
But Mother’s Day would be really sweet too! And only have to wait a few weeks! You could make her something awesome or have a shirt made or something :)

We don’t talk to my husbands family so that is easy ! But I know my mum isn’t ready to be a grandma so we are really nervous to tell her. I’m 6weeks and 5 days

First just wanna say congratulations!!! 🎉🎉🤰i think informing family and friends is whatever you feel comfortable with, I personally want the support of family and certain friends from the beginning to the end. Told my mother and close friend right away. My husband is choosing to wait to tell his friends and family until after the first trimester. I will be 6 weeks tomorrow 😁

We told his family cause we wanted to do it in person and it was the only time we were visiting for a very long time, but my family I’m waiting to tell till my kids know ( after June )

I’m 6 weeks+1 today. I have no intention of telling my mother until I am ready for everyone else to know, because she can’t keep secrets. Backstory...
My cousin’s wife is due around the same time as me. Her last pregnancy ended in MC at 11 weeks). She told her MIL (my aunt) on Saturday, who told my mom, who told my sister ON SOCIAL MEDIA! I immediately called my
mother and told her to delete it right away. She did, but God, who does that? She doesn’t think! My cousin’s wife hadn’t even announced on social media yet, so why would she think it’s okay? 
Anyway, I got pregnant in Feb., and that ended in miscarriage in early March. We got pregnant again 2 weeks later, but I am waiting until the 2nd trimester to tell.
