How to I help out my long term boyfriend?
So my boyfriend an I have been together for 5 years. High school sweethearts blah blah blah. Fast forward I was 19 and he was 20 when I got pregnant. We were scared but we made it work. We bought a house in 2017 at 9 months pregnant. Moved in, did some renovations. Whatever. I work very minimal part time. My boyfriend works full time first shift. I work second. In January, our then 2 month old little boy for extremely sick. & since then hes been hospitalized 4 times. I’ve had to miss lots of work. Basically my sons lungs fill with fluid so he can’t breath. We are still waiting on a diagnosis. But in the past two weeks (we’ve been home from the hospital) he’s missed more work than he’s actually gone. Yesterday I asked why’d you stay home? He said because he missed me and wanted to spend time with me. Today was a little more alarming. He got up at 4 am and was rustling around in the kitchen screaming he hated his life. And “ I wish I would just fucking die”. He ended up sleeping on the couch till 9 am. I sat down by him and asked how I can help him and that we are a team. And he immediately got frustrated. He said he was sick of me and my son, stormed into our bedroom and locked the door. He won’t answer (I know he wouldn’t do anything to hurt himself). I was just wondering if any of you guys have suggestions on what to do? He refuses to receive medical help. He was raised as if mental disorders aren’t a thing. And refuses to believe something is “wrong” with him. Added a picture of them for attention because both of them are sooooo handsome ❤️
