It is safe to dye your hair whilst pregnant they just would rather you didn’t in the first 12 weeks it’s only bleaching on the scalp which isn’t safe.

As a cosmetologist ive been asked this often. (Ive even double checked for my own pregnancy) and ill tell you that you can, but dont use metallic dies or perms and dont overdo bleach. Also wait until your in your second trimester at lest. Makesure the area is well ventilated and if you want to be extra safe use more natural dies with less harsh chemicals. Dont bye it to often and if you get woozy open a window for fresh air.

Ive heard it’s safer to get it done in a salon as they will have more up to date products whereas at home hair dye may contain more unnecessary chemicals. It is best to wait until the second trimester.

Aveda is great - it’s less smelly (in a salon, I’ve never done at-home dye so I can’t speak to that)
