HCG concern?

So 4/13 my HCG level was 42, and then 4/18 it was up to 537, today 4/20 result just came back at 1,395. So happy to see the spike in numbers over 7 days. Concern is that my app says in 6 weeks prego, should my numbers be way higher?

Answer

The app just goes off your LMP to calculate you due date. If you ovulated/implanted later you could be a little earlier than 6 weeks. As long as the hcg numbers are rising, I wouldn’t be too concerned. Your first ultrasound will be a dating ultrasound to see how far along baby is measuring and that is far more accurate then going off of LMP. Hope that’s helpful.

My best guess is that your dates are slightly off due to a late ovulation/implantation.
