So I recently found out that my husband of 1 year slept with another woman when we had been together for 4 months. We dated 2 years total before getting married. I am currently 28 weeks pregnant with his son, and he adopted my 6 year old daughter shortly after our wedding. Anyway, this is not typical for his character and he’s reluctant to call it cheating since we weren’t serious, though we had both recently divorced due to spousal infidelity in our past marriages and therefor promised monogamy early in our relationship. He knows how sensitive I am to this and, especially with being hormonal, I am really struggling to deal with his mistake. He has apologized many times and offered to go to therapy with me, but I can’t seem to shake the hurt. Any advice for me? I feel misled and somewhat trapped. I am not interested in separation or divorce, I am just struggling with forgiveness and trust. Looking for encouragement if you have it. 😢
