In my opinion no, my daughter barely used hers. She sat in it maybe a handful of times. She was also very chubby so it was hard to get her legs out of it lol.

I found a used one presale so it was far cheaper than brand new! Wiped it down and good as new.

If you listen to that whole "they aren't good for your baby" crap your head will explode. People say EVERYTHING is bad for your baby (walkers, bouncers, even baby wearing for long periods of time 🤦) so I really would not listen to that
That being said my daughter ALWAYS used the bumbo during the first 6 months because she hated laying down, the bumbo was the only thing that would relax her
Now that she is 10 months old I just use it as a chair for her
