symptom relief?

so ive had a yeast infection for a little over a week, I tried monistat 1and it helped a little bit it didn't go away completely. it started getting more irritating so my doctor prescribed fluconazole. I took it Thursday and it's still at the pretty much the same place it was before, but she said it could take 3 to 5 days to clear up. what are some things I can do in the meantime to lessen the irritation?? usually they go away fairly easy, but this ones fighting back.
