How long did you wait to tell your first child?

I have a 4 y/o, wondering when & how you told your first child about having a baby brother or sister. TIA!

The moment we got our pos test we told our son he was 2 turning 3 in a few weeks and he was excited they are 3 1/2 years apart and love each other she wouldnt let anyone but him show her how to walk crawl roll over etc

my daughter was 3.5 when we found out. We told her when I was around 2 months (her daddy was excited but I actually wanted to wait a little longer). She was really happy and she even kept it a secret until we were ready to tell! 😊

Told my daughter right after I found out. She knew before her dad. She’s the one who announced it to him ☺️ she’s so excited. She’s only 4 though so she doesn’t really understand why she has to wait for the baby

We told him the day we found out. He had just turned two so he wasn’t too chatty yet. We did have him announce to my mom by saying “big brother!”

We waited until we were ready to tell other people at 2.5 we knew he would tell everyone. When we found out it was a girl we told him a bunch of pink helium balloons to get him excited
