Swimming?

I've had my period for 4 years but I've never swam with it. I don't like tampons bc no matter what I do it hurts. Putting it in I can't find the right angle and then taking it out (even after 6-8 hours) hurts like a bitchhhh. However a family vacation lines up with my period soooo do I need to wear a tampon if I want to go swimming? Ik it's gross not to but can I get away with it?

If your period is light enough you can get away with just wearing black swimsuit bottoms. That’s how I survived my high school swim season every year 😎

This might sound weird, but is your tampon full when you take it out?

I wouldn’t be able to. Your period doesn’t stop in water and getting out of the water you’d have blood running down your leg. Unless you have light periods, or it’s a light day, I don’t think you can get away with using nothing.

Yes you must wear a tampon or use a menstrual cup when swimming on your period do not free bleed that is plain nasty and a health hazard and do not wear a pad it will come off and float around no one wants to pop their head up next to a floating blood filled pad ewww
