I am a FTM and I am 36+4 weeks. My son's movements are not a pronounced as they used to be but he has been getting the hiccups more. When doing my kick counts, can I count the hiccups as individual movements? Should I wait until he stops hiccuping? My doctor told me I can count any movement it doesn't have to be a kick or a punch but didn't specify if hiccups count. For the past 2 kick counts I have been counting to 20 instead of 10 because he has had the hiccups. *UPDATE* I asked my doctor today at my 37 week check up and he said that they DO count! With how far along I am I can count each hiccup as an INDIVIDUAL movement, as long as he is having other movements too. I guess it is by doctors preference.
