What kind of baby monitor did you guys use?

I’m having a very difficult time deciding what’s right for me. I appreciate the lower cost/simplicity of audio monitors. But, the more I read about video monitors, the more appealing they seem. I’m just trying to figure out if it’s worth the cost.

If it helps at all, people hack into those and watch babies. Then they record the visuals and put it on websites for other pervs to watch. And they listen into your conversations. So, we went with audio. Still hackable, but at least people can’t watch my baby. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Before I had my daughter I always thought a video monitor was unnecessary, but I absolutely love mine! My daughter doesn't always make noise when she wakes up so I can see if she is up, can see if she needs her binky or if she is able to grab it herself, and just the peace of mind to be able to look at her when she if she is sleeping 😊

I didn’t want a video because it would’ve taken away from my limited me time, I know I would’ve been watching it like a hawk instead of relaxing and doing my own thing while baby was sleeping. I love my cheap audio monitor, it picks up everything in his room, I could clearly hear his breathing change the night he had croup bad and needed to go to the ER.

My monitor is video and audio. I like being able to see and hear my baby in his crib. It doesn’t use WiFi so random people can’t hack it and see your baby or hear anything.

I used an audio with my first, but I will use a video with my second.

We got one that’s both video and audio. It was more expensive but it’s worth it.
