boring relationship

i have boyfriend, well i started to think that he's not my boyfriend anymore because he's flat.. i mean it's so plain, no excitement at all and it makes me so mad sometimes because he never try to make our relationship more challenging. what should i do? should i break up with him or just ignore him?
