Have you started potty training?

I'm a FTM to a 16 month old.  People have begun to ask if we've started potty training yet.  I honestly hadn't even thought about it!  Is that something we should be thinking about already?  How do you know if your little one is ready to start?  
Any advice is welcome!  Thank you!

My Baby say pot pot and she take off her pamper I take her and she sit but does nothing haha....

We have not.  There are a bunch of “clues” your baby will give but mine shows none of them.  The average age to potty train is between 2 to 3 so we are in no rush.  Plus, starting before they are ready can push them back.

You really just have to watch for cues. Signs that your little one is ready to start potty training would be showing bladder control, hiding and squatting to go in their diaper, things like that. My little one started showing signs of bladder control so we bought a potty for him. He does use it (he loves to cheer and flush lol). If you think your little one is ready, give it a shot.

Mine sits on the toilet everynight before bath but doesn’t do anything

Not us either. Everyone says they will show all these signs when they are ready, and mine has shown zero. She never even notices the toilet-even when someone is on it. Definitely not something I’m pushing yet or even soon!

We haven’t even started thinking about it! I don’t plan on it until closer to age 2 unless my LO starts showing interest.

I have bought my son a potty he will sit on it when he see me sit on toilet he takes his diaper off and he have used it once

Not us, she hasnt shown any signs of being ready. once she gets closer to 2 we will start doing some prep to get her used to the potty but so far shes not interested lol

I'm planning on starting around 18 months, but if he's not ready, I'm not going to push it. It'd be nice if he was ready and able to be out of diapers by my due date (September) but I'm not getting my hopes up.
