Can you love more than once throughout your life?

I kind of have it hardwired into me that if you loved someone but broke up, it was infatuation & not love. I’m now starting to think otherwise /:

of course you can. just because you broke up doesn't mean your feelings weren't real. And sometimes our definition of love will change as we get older, but that doesn't mean our past loves weren't real. love is very fluid. it doesn't really have specific terms and conditions.

If you break up with someone and don’t love that person anymore after the breakup, then it was not real love. Real love is when you unconditionally love someone like your children or mother. If there is an issue in those relationship and lets say one does not talk to his or her child, sibling, or another relative that does not mean the love is gone. Real love cannot disappear regardless of circumstances. However, this does not mean you cannot love more than 1 person romantically. Lets say you are married to a wonderful man and he passes away and a couple of years later you remarry, that does not mean you did not love your first husband or the second husband.
