When is a woman least fertile?

Can someone put this into more simpler terms for me? Whenever I look this up it’s just too confusing. When is a woman least fertile? Isn’t it right after the menstrural cycle?

Right after the egg dies until your period starts. Im natural family planning so condoms until I ovulate (I take an ovulation test around the time I know I do.) two days after a positive ovulation test I know I’m fine until my period ends.

Everyones cycle is different so if you had a standard average cycle and ovulated 2 weeks before your period you’d be safest about a week before your period. But you can’t really know when you ovulate unless you track it with tests and such
