Should I let my 11 year old daughter go to the park with her friend only?

The school holidays are ending soon and my daughter wants to hang out with her friend at a local park. Part of me thinks: why not? It's a public area, lots of children her age will be there and she's with her friend so she'll be safe but then the other part thinks: but isn't that dangerous if there won't be any parent supervisors? What about the pedophiles? Could she get kidnapped?

Well, why not? It's a public place and if she understands what to do when someone creepy comes up to her then I think it's great for her to have some fun with her friend. Her friend can also help if something happens. Maybe you should ask her to invite a couple more friends just to be safe.

Well it kinda depends on where you live...the city I live in is really safe and kids walk 7 blocks to school by themselves at the age of 6 here, and go to local parks by themselves as well at similar ages...but again, if the neighborhood isn't great its your call

Does she have a phone ? Does her friend? If you are familiar with the park I think it’ll be fine . We used to roam our local mall.

I wasn’t aloud to go anywhere til I was 13 I’m 16 now and I defiantly think that maybe 13 was too young I was pretty clueless to what could happen to me so make sure she knows what could happen and why you don’t want her to be alone if that’s the case so she understands and doesn’t get mad at you like cause i was angry at my mum 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I now fully understand why she didn’t want me to be alone with one friend at 10-13

Idk I feel like 11 is still too young, & there’s always creeps at parks regardless of how many parents will be there. maybe if it was with more friends
