Is 16 weeks too early to find out gender?

Question

We have an appointment to find out the gender of our baby at one of these "sneak peek" sonogram places. I'll be 16 weeks, but what are the chances they are wrong because it's too early? My husband thinks we should wait until our 20 week scan with my doctor. What are your experiences with these places? The facility has all great reviews.

It’s all up to you. If you feel it’s worth the money then go for it. My husband and I are super frugal and don’t want to spend the extra money when 4 more weeks isn’t that long. This is our second and we don’t need a lot of stuff, and even if we did we would just save the money until we know the gender. They will be able to tell that early, it’s just all about your preference.

I had an appointment at 16+3 and my Dr was able to tell that we are having a girl ! ! !

I found out the gender at 11 weeks with a blood test that was drawn ar 10 weeks and it was additionally confirmed at 20 week scan.
