Anyone still nursing ? Tips on bf with teeth plz

My son is finally getting his lower two teeth and OUCH I can feel them already when he nurses. He chomped down and I told a firm no but even regular nursing feels pinchy - any suggestions 🙊🙈

My little man bit me yesterday and I yelled ow and he got very upset and cried haha hopefully that was all he needed to not do it again

I was given the advice that when LO bites to hug them closer instead of pulling away. Pulling away makes them bite more, hugging close relaxes them..... supposedly I haven't tried it myself.

If you have facebook, I would join the La Leche League international page. Ive seen people post about biting while nursing several times. Unfortunately I have no advice. Once my LO started biting,  I switched to exclusively pumping. :/

My baby never bites me. We are a little over 8 months now EBF. Sometimes when she’s full she will clamp down and pull my nipple as far as she can (those things are stretchier than I thought) haha. But I just tell her ‘NO’ in a deep firm voice. Just as I would when she grabs cords, puts her hands in the dog water, etc. She will cry sometimes but I know she gets the point.

Pull close... or pop your finger in the side of their mouth and pull out... end the session for 5 mins and then recommence. Once my guy got used to his new teeth, it didn’t happen often anymore. Now his top teeth are coming in and we are going through the same thing... he’s just not used to the new feeling of having something in his mouth

My baby has had her bottom two teeth for 2 months now and hasn’t once bit me. She bites my hands but never my nipple. I guess I’m just lucky but she starts lightly nibbling once she’s full
