How much to charge for childcare?
Hi ladies I’m a SAHM of almost 8 month old twins. We will be moving into our new home June 1st and I am thinking about offering child care in my home. Just one or two children. I am trying to figure out which ages would be a good fit. If I watch younger babies that would be a good fit because I have all of the equipment such as swings bouncers and toys but I am open to any ages really. I only get nervous if there is a huge age gap because I think it will be hard to keep my babies as well as older children entertained. We have a pool which has sliders on our back door that lock for pool safety. Would it be to much of a liability to let the children I’m watching swim in our pool? (Ofcourse with lots of supervision) or should I say it’s totally off limits. Another thing is idk how much to charge. Daycare in my area is around 170$ for a infant. I would not want to charge that much because I don’t think I’d get any business plus I would not want to pay that. I’m open for suggestions and advise. Thanks !!
I should mention I have 10+ years of experience with children from babysitting as well as working in a daycare setting. I am also a nurse so I am first aid and cpr certified in adult and pediatric.
