My best friend ignores me after getting into a relationship?

My guy best friend of 4 years has changed. We live in different states, but we text and call each other every day, and talk about everything with each other from our problems to funny inside jokes. Ever since he got a gf this Christmas, I’ve noticed he doesn’t make the effort in our friendship anymore. I barely get one text message once a month. I just don’t think our friendship matters anymore to him. And I have lost the one person I thought I could talk to. What should I do?

Respect it, I wouldnt push it any farther than it has to be. He obviously wants to put all his attention on her and you should respect that

I know it sucks. Happened to me. But just sit back and think.. like, the girl probably was not comfortable with you guys texting every single day. All day long. Which is understandable. Try and keep yourself occupied, and just call and see how he is once or twice a week. Usually women have no problem with their boyfriends having friends who are girls. Just not the constant texting and phone calls

My guy bestie did the same. My husband & I even introduced him to his now-wife, who is another friend of mine, & he just doesn't care to maintain our friendship any more 🤷🏼 Sucks, but it is what it is. He's just a regular low-level friend now.

His girlfriend probably sees you as a threat and has no doubt asked him to stop contacting you. 
This happened to me when my old bestie met his now wife, he was in the army when he met her. I heard nothing for months on end then when they got engaged he brought her “home” to meet everybody, she met me and realised we were more like brother and sister and she chilled out.

Maybe your friendship made his girlfriend a bit insecure and he's trying to reassure her..maybe she's just become his new best friend. I only talk to my best friend about once a week now, and we live a mile apart. I used to see her everyday. I only see her once or twice a month now. My husband became my best friend. We do everything together and have a bond like none other. She's still my bestie, I still love her, we would still do anything for each other. But my life has changed, and she's ok with that and is happy for me.
